SIZE
Height: approx. 55 cm, length: approx. 39 cm

MATERIALS
Schachenmayr Luxery Velvet, 100 g ball
Approx. 100 g ≈ 75 m
Col. 00020 (bunny) 3 balls
Col. 00015 (fox) 1 ball
Schachenmayr Catania, 50 g ball
Approx. 50 g ≈ 125 m
Col. 00110 (schwarz) 1 ball (nose, mouth, eyes)
Schachenmayr Catania Grande, 50 g ball
Approx. 50 g ≈ 63 m
Col. 03211 (vanille) 1 ball
Col. 03210 (apricose) 1 ball
Col. 03380 (amaranth) 1 ball
Col. 03385 (mint) 1 ball
Col. 03383 (aquarelle) 1 ball
The amount of yarn needed can vary from person to person.
stuffing
1 crochet hook 6,0 mm and 5,0 mm (halter and blancket)
1 tapestry needle (nose, mouth, eyes)
1 tapestry needle for weaving in ends
1 stitch marker

GAUGE
Single crochet (tightly crocheted):
10 st and 10 rounds = 10 x 10 cm
If your gauge differs from the given gauge, use a hook of a larger or smaller size accordingly.
NOTE: Animals should be tightly crocheted so they can be properly stuffed and shaped, and so that there are no holes
through which the stuffing can escape.

THE BASICS
Stitches: slip stitches, chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, increases and decreases

Starting off:
When using a thick chenille yarn such as Luxury Velvet, it is not possible to start with a magic ring as the yarn cannot
be drawn together. That’s why we start with 2 ch and work the next stitches in the 2nd ch from the hook.
Spiral rounds:
At the end of a rnd do not close with a sl st. The 1st st of the new rnd is worked in the 1st st of the previous rnd. This
creates a spiral shape.
For a better overview, mark the 1st st of every rnd with a stitch marker.
Increasing 1 st: Work 2 st in the same insertion point.
Decreasing 1 st: Work 2 st together.

INSTRUCTIONS
NOTES:
• Stuff before joining the pieces together. Do this gradually with a small amount of stuffing and shape the animal as you go.
• It is difficult to separate the work later on. If you do need to however, do it very slowly and do not pull to hard since the yarn could break.
• Sew the individual pieces on with a different yarn such as Catania or Bravo in a similar color as Luxury Velvet is too thick for this.

Body
Work the body from the top to the bottom:
Start with Bunny with 24 ch:
Rnd 1: Work 22 sc in the 2nd ch from hook, 3 sc in last st, continue working around the foundation chain, 21 sc, Increase 1 st = 48 sc
Rnd 2: Increase 1 st, 21 sc, increase 3 st, 21 sc, increase every 2nd st = 54 sc.
Rnd 3: Increase every 2nd st, 21 sc, increase every 2nd st, 2 sc, increase every 2nd st, 21 sc, increase every 2nd st, 2
sc = 62 sc.
Rnd 4: 1 sc, increase every 2nd st, 24 sc, increase every 2nd st, 3 sc, increase every 2nd st, 24 sc, increase every 2nd st,
2 sc = 71 sc.
Rnd 5: 2 sc, increase every 2nd st, 26 sc, increase every 2nd st, 5 sc, increase every 2nd st, 26 sc, increase every 2nd st,
3 sc = 78 sc.
Rnds 6–13: 8 rnds of the same number of st = 78 sc.
Rnd 14: 33 sc, (work 2 st together) 6 times, 33 sc = 72 sc.
Rnd 15: 31 sc, (work 2 st together) 5 times, 31 sc = 67 sc.
Rnd 16: 29 sc, (work 2 st together) 5 times, 28 sc = 62 sc.
The part with the decreases is the back of the alpaca. The beginning of the round should be at the middle of the chest.
There should be exactly 13 sc on either side of the middle of the chest, so count off a total of 26 sc and place a stitch
marker. (Picture 1).
This is the part of the neck you work across, the rest remains unworked. (Picture 2 and 3):
Rnd 17: 1 rnd in same number of st = 26 vs
Rnd 18: 12 sc, work 2 st together, 12 sc = 25 sc.
Rnd 19: 12 sc, work 2 st together, 11 sc = 24 sc.
Rnd 20: 1 rnd of the same number of st= 24 sc.

Secure the yarn with a marker, stuff the body and join the back together with other yarn, e.g. Catania/Grande. Keep
adding stuffing and bring the animal into shape.

The pick up the secured stitch on the neck.
Rnds 21 – 25: 5 rnds of the same number of st = 24 sc.
Rnd 26: Increase every 2nd st = 36 sc.
Rnd 27: Increase every 4th st = 45 sc.
Rnd 28: 1 rnd of the same number of st= 45 sc.
Rnd 29: Increase every 9th st = 50 sc.
Rnds 30 – 35: 6 rnds of the same number of st = 50 sc.
Rnd 36: Work every 9th and 10th st together = 45 sc.
Rnd 37: Work every 8th and 9th st together = 40 sc.
Rnd 38: Work every 7th and 8th st together = 35 sc.
Rnd 39: Work every 6th and 7th st together = 30 sc.
Rnd 40: Work every 5th and 6th st together = 25 vs
Rnd 41: Work every 4th and 5th st together = 20 sc.
Rnd 42: Work every 3rd and 4th st together = 15 sc.
Rnd 43: Work every 2nd and 3rd st together = 10 sc.
Rnd 44: Work every 1st and 2nd st together = 5 sc.
Finish the work with sl st, cut the thread, close the opening and draw the yarn through the head.
In all the following sections, you can cut the final thread
short and drawn it inside/draw through 2–3 st. It is not possible to sew with the chenille yarn.

What you need
• Somen Inverno (½x100g (3,53 OZ))
• Somen Vaniglia (a few metres)
• Leftover black yarn for details
• Crochet hook 4 mm (US 6)
Used stitches
Double crochet: dc
Crochet 2 double crochet together: dc2tog
… repeat

Work in spiral.
Handle
R1: Make a magic loop and crochet 6dc
in the ring (=6).
R2: Inc.: dc 2 in every stitch (=12).
R3: Inc.: dc 1, 2dc in next stitch (=18).
R4-21: dc 1 in every stitch (=18).
Stuff the handle with filling.

Finshing
Make sure to fill the snout with stuffing before sewing it to the head. Attach some strands of yarn to the head and
comb them out to create Lee’s hair.
Important: for safety reasons, make sure to secure the yarn tightly using an extra knot, so that the yarn cannot be pulled loose and form a choking hazard. When in doubt, don’t add Lee’s hair – he’s just as cute without it! Use leftover black yarn to embroider the snout and eyes.
Do not let children under 3 years of age play with the rattle unsupervised.
Congratulations

Materials
Size 4 worsted weight yarn (100g of main body color; small amount of light brown and color of choice for scarf and flower)
Crochet thread or embroidery floss for the facial feature
3.5mm crochet hook
5mm crochet hook (for the scarf)
12mm safety eyes
Scissors
Tapestry needle (I love the bent tips!)
Stuffing
Stitch markers (a piece of scrap yarn works great!)
If you would prefer an alternative to plastic safety eyes these are my favorites!

Abbreviations (US Terminology)
SC – Single crochet
SC INC – Single crochet increase
INV DEC – Invisible decrease
HDC – Half double crochet
DC – Double crochet
St(s) – Stitch(es)
Rep – Repeat
We will be working in continuous rounds, I recommend using a stitch marker either at the beginning or end of each round to help keep track. Slowly stuff as you go, you will want each part to be firm but not stretched.
Note: You will be using your 3.5mm hook for the majority of the pattern. The 5mm hook will be used solely for the scarf.

Legs and Body –
Legs – Make 2 starting with light brown
Round 1: Create a magic circle with 6 SC
Round 2: SC INC in each st (12)
Round 3: SC in the first st, SC INC in the next, rep around (18)
Rounds 4-8: SC around (18)
Change to body color
Rounds 9-22: SC around (18)
Fasten off on the first leg only. When you are finished with the 2nd leg proceed to round 23 to join the legs and start the body.
Round 23: Chain 3 and attach to the first leg with a SC, SC in the remaining stitches around the leg. When you reach the chain complete a SC across each of the 3 chains, SC in the remaining stitches of the next leg and SC across each of the 3 chains again. (42)
You will end up crocheting across each side of the chain, this acts as a bridge to join the legs together. This completes your join and is where your next round will start.

Rounds 24-40: SC around (42)
Round 41: SC in the first 5 sts, INV DEC in the next, rep around (36)
Round 42: SC in the first 4 sts, INV DEC in the next, rep around (30)
Round 43: SC around (30)
Round 44: SC in the first 3 sts, INV DEC in the next, rep around (24)
Rounds 45-50: SC around (24)
Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing

Nose/Mouth Piece
With body color
Round 1: Create a magic circle with 6 SC
Round 2: SC INC in each st (12)
Round 3: SC in the first st, SC INC in the next, rep around (18)
Round 4: SC in the first 2 sts, SC INC in the next, rep around (24)
Rounds 5-7: SC around (24)
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing

Nose –
With black crochet or embroidery thread make a ‘V’ for the nose with a line added a few stitches down. Feel free to add a smile for extra detail. You can also use black yarn either as is or you can pull it apart to make a thinner nose.

Head
With body color
Round 1: Create a magic circle with 6 SC
Round 2: SC INC in each st around (12)
Round 3: SC in the first st, SC INC in the next, rep around (18)
Round 4: SC in the first 2 sts, SC INC in the next, rep around (24)
Round 5: SC in the first 3 sts, SC INC in the next, rep around (30)
Round 6: SC in the first 4 sts, SC INC in the next, rep around (36)
Round 7: SC in the first 5 sts, SC INC in the next, rep around (42)
Round 8: SC in the first 6 sts, SC INC in the next, rep around (48)
Round 9: SC in the first 7 sts, SC INC in the next, rep around (54)
Rounds 10-18: SC around (54)

Here is where we will add the eyes and facial features before we start closing the head. Insert the eyes between rounds 15 and 16, 7 stitches apart. If you would like to add eyelashes or eyebrows I recommend doing so before securing the backs onto the eyes.
Next, sew your mouth piece centered between the eyes as pictured, stuffing lightly as you go.

Round 19: SC in the first 7 sts, INV DEC in the next, rep around (48)
Round 20: SC in the first 6 sts, INV DEC in the next, rep around (42)
Round 21: SC in the first 5 sts, INV DEC in the next, rep around (36)
Round 22: SC in the first 4 sts, INV DEC in the next, rep around (30)
Round 23: SC in the first 3 sts, INV DEC in the next, rep around (24)
*Continue to stuff the head as you go
Round 24: SC in the first 2 sts, INV DEC in the next, rep around (18)
Round 25: SC in the first st, INV DEC in the next, rep around (12)
Round 26: INV DEC around (6)
*Add your final stuffing before closing, I like to use the end of my crochet hook to help stuff at this point*
Fasten off and sew remaining part closed, weave in your end.

Ears
Make 2 with body color
Round 1: Create a magic circle with 8 SC
Rounds 2-3: SC around (8)
Round 4: SC in the first st, SC INC in the next, rep around (12)
Round 5: SC around (12)
Round 6: SC in the first 2 sts, SC INC in the next, rep around (16)
Rounds 7-12: SC around (16)
Fold ear in half and SC across the top, fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing

Flower
With color of choice
Round 1: Create a magic circle with 5 SC, join with a slip stitch to the first SC (5)
Round 2: *3DC and slip stitch into the same stitch*, repeat in each stitch making a total of 5 petals, join with a slip stitch to the first DC
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing

Assembling the Head
1. Sew the ears onto the body at the 5th round on each side.
2. With body color we will make the ‘wooly’ patch between the ears. Create a slip knot and slip stitch into the stitch closest to the ear as pictured below.
Chain 16 and slip stitch into the next stitch towards the other ear. Continue this process until you reach the other ear (this completes one row of ‘wool’). Slip stitch into the next stitch towards the back of the head and complete another row back across to the first ear. Feel free to add additional rows to your liking.
3. If you’ve made a flower, sew onto the ear of your choice.

Arms
*Lightly stuff the bottom half of the arms*
With light brown
Round 1: Create a magic circle with 6 SC
Round 2: SC INC in each st (12)
Rounds 3-6: SC around (12)
Change to body color
Rounds 7-22: SC around (12)
At the end of round 22 pinch the arm flat and make 6 SC across the top to close, fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Tail
With body color
Round 1: Create a magic circle with 8 SC
Round 2: SC INC in each st (16)
Rounds 3-7: SC around (16)
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing
ScarfWith color of choice and 5mm hook, chain 78
Row 1: HDC in the 2nd chain from your hook and in each chain across, chain 1 and turn (77)
Rows 2-3: HDC across (77)
Cut 4 strands of yarn about 6 inches long, slip stitch each one into the ends of the scarf to create a fringe. I left my starting and ending yarn there as fringe as well, no need to weave them end. Cut all strands to make them even as needed.

Final Assembly
1. Sew the head onto the body, making sure to have the facial features centered. Add extra stuffing in to the neck as you go to keep it firm and less wobbly.
2. Next, sew the arms onto the body centered with the head at round 45.
3. Sew the tail to the back of the body, adding stuffing as you go.
4. Lastly, I folded the scarf in half around the neck and pulled the ends through the loop.

Assembly
It’s good to fill your head with holofiber.
Sew the head to the body (note that there are 24 sc left in the head and body) Sew neatly, loop-to-loop.
Mark with pins where you will sew the muzzle. Don’t forget to fill with holofiber.
Also, with pins, pin the ears, sew. Observe symmetry)
Sew hands between 24 and 25 rows
(where the rise of the neck begins)
Use pins to mark symmetrical spots for sewing on the beaded eyes.
Use the yarn of the shade of the head to draw small tightens at the pinned locations. Do not overtighten!
Sew on the eyes.
Use a white yarn to make the white around the eyes.
Sewing yarn (or floss) of black / brown color, embroider the nose and eyebrows.

Hairstyle
– Dial 10 ch
– slst into the first loop.
– From it we recruit 10 ch again,
– slst in the first loop (the current chain from ch !!!).
By this principle, we make the required number of curls for the hairstyle. I do 12pcs usually.
Sew symmetrically between the ears.
Congratulations
More amigurumi llama ideas:

[two loops on hook] Yarn over pull through two loops)
Magic Circle– Make a loop, leaving a long tail to work with. Insert hook in center of loop, yarn over and draw up a loop. Yarn over, pull through to make the first chain (this does not count as a stitch!). Continue to crochet over the loop and tail with the number of stitches called for. (If you need 6 SC, then crochet 6 SC inside the ring.) Pull the tail to close the circle.
Always move your stitch marker to the last stitch in the round. This pattern is worked in continuous rounds.

Body (this part is just a tube.)
Using the Pipsqueak yarn:
Round 1: In a magic circle, 6 SC.
Round 2: SC INC in each around. (12)
Round 3: SC in first, SC INC in next. (12)
Decrease in each around as you can and then sew the remaining hole together.

Neck
Chain 21. Attach to the first chain so you have a circle. Take care not to twist the chain when you connect it. Attach the stitch marker here. Crochet in each stitch around, for a total of 7 rows.
Pin this tube to the front of the body. Make sure it is centered, then attach the bottom by sewing around, multiple times if you need to. Stuff it very well and pin the head to the top. Sew the head on.

Legs (Make 4)
Starting with the worsted weight yarn
Round 1: In a magic circle, 6 SC.
Round 2: SC INC in each around (12)
Round 3: SC in first, SC INC in next. Repeat around. (18)
Rounds 4-10: SC in each around (18)
Change to the pipsqueak yarn.
Rounds 11-18: SC in each around. (18)
Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew onto the body. Stuff up to the worsted weight line but don’t stuff too much more than that.
When you attach the legs, use pins and a large needle. I pin the front legs first. I made sure the legs both lay flat on the table. If helpful, prop the back part of the body on something even with the legs. Attach the tops. Repeat with the back legs.

Tail
Round 1: In a magic circle, 6 SC.
Round 2: SC INC in each around. (12)
Round 3-7: SC in each around. (12)
Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew onto the body. I did not stuff my tail, just flattened it!

Neck Pom Poms
I made 3 pom poms using the smallest Clover pom maker (the pink one). Chain 35 and fasten off. Sew two pom poms on one end and one on the other. I just twisted the one around the two to fasten.

Blanket
Row 1: Chain 30 and turn. HDC in the second chain from the end.
Rows 2-3: HDC in each stitch across. (28)
Row 3: Change to an accent color. SC in each across. (28)
Rows 4-5: HDC in each stitch across. (28)
Row 6: Change to an accent color. SC in each across. (28)
Rows 7-8: HDC in each stitch across. (28)
Row 9: Change to an accent color. SC in each across. (28)
Rows 10-11: HDC in each stitch across. (28)
Cut 3 inch pieces for the fringe. Attach to the edge by folding the pieces in half and pulling through the edge of the blanket with your hook. Pull the two edges through the loop and pull tight.
