Materials

– 2.25 mm crochet hook

– 4.00 mm crochet hook (for the basket)

– 100 % cotton yarn for a 2.25 mm hook

– 100 % cotton yarn for a 4.00 mm hook (for the basket)

– Four pairs of 8 mm safety eyes or yarn to embroider them

– Four Rattles (I use these)

– Tapestry needle

– Polyfiber fill   

And most important… a copy of “The Three Little Pigs”, to gift with the rattles!!

Before closing, we will do the edges. Chain 1 to turn the piece 90 degrees clockwise and crochet 5 sc along the side of the piece, working in the spaces between rows. When you reach the top edge, crochet 8 sc in the remaining loops of the foundation chain. Then chain 1 to turn the piece 90 degrees clockwise again and crochet 5 sc along the other side of the piece, once again working in the spaces between rows.
Close and break the yarn, leaving a long tail to sew to the basket.

Assembly

– Sew the door to the basket
– With a bit of green yarn, embroider the grass to the sides of the door. And with some red, embroider some flowers too!
