Amigurumi Naughty Pig Free Pattern

Yarn & Hooks Needed
DK weight (3) yarn & 2.75mm hook
I use Paintbox Yarn Cotton DK which is a DK weight
3 yarn in the following colorways for the pig. The
Heart is made with Paintbox Yarn Cotton Aran:
• (DK) Main color: 135 yards depending on tension you may want a second ball as this will use
all of the first with little to none left over
• (DK) Accent Color: 30 yards
• (WW) Heart Color: yardage varies depending on heart style
Cheeks: Use a small amount of a different pink yarn, blush, paint, or by needlefelting on.
If not using Safety eyes, you will need a small amount of black and white yarn.
OTHER MATERIALS
• Crochet Hook Used: 2.75mm (C) & 4mm (G) Clover Amour
• Fiberfill (stuffing material)
• Cardboard or other thick material for wrapped yarn heart center.
• Pins, stitch marker, scissors & a yarn needle.
Optional 14mm safety eyes. I get mine from glasseyesonline
Optional If you wish to needlefelt the eye accents and cheeks on you will need a needlefelting needle.
use roving or yarn pieces for the small amount in this pattern.

• If using safety eyes, insert them on the front of the head between rounds 14 & 15 with approx 6 Sts visible between the eyes.
• If using yarn eyes, place them between rounds 12 & 16 with 6 Sts visible between. Add white accents to eyes by titching with white yarn or needlefelting.
• Sew snout lengthwise to center of the face between rounds 15 & 21. (figure 4)
• Using black yarn, add 2 nostrils (or needlefelt them on).
• Add cheeks by making 2 Sts on each side of the snout over rounds 18 & 19.
• Sew Head to body

• FO accent color, leave a long tail and pull tail through the starting MR to the outside of the leg

• FO leave long tail.
• Using your yarn needle, thread the tail of the accent color yarn, and insert at the top of the foot between rounds 6&7, and pull back out the center MR. (figures 9 & 10). Repeat 2 more times and pull tight. Weave in end.
• Pinch the open end together even with center of the indent and seam closed.
• Sew legs to each side of the body between rounds 9 & 17.
• Weave in any ends.

Arms Make 2

• Stop stuffing arm.

• Pinch open end together and seam closed.
• Sew arms to each side of the body between rounds 23 & 30.
• Using a strand of accent color yarn, stitch the back edge of the hands together to create a “hug” to hold the heart.
• Weave in any ends.

Tail

• Sew to back bottom of the body between rounds 11 & 12.

Wrapped Heart
• Cut a heart out of cardboard approx the width of your pig’s body.
• Wrap the cardboard heart with your heart colored yarn.
• When cardboard is covered, cut yarn, leaving a long enough tail to weave in.
• Using your yarn needle, secure loose end.
• Place heart in arms.

Stuffed Heart

Round 6: Hold both pieces together, Working into the first piece, Sc to connect to second piece. Sc into the next 13 sts of the first piece. When you get back to the second piece, leave 4 Sts unworked between the pieces, and Sc into the next 14 Sts. (28)
• Using yarn tail from the first, seam the 3 unworked middle Sts closed.
